Terms of Service
Last updated: September 27, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the SoundAlert app for Android (the "App"), published by 2in1 Inc., 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App Does
SoundAlert automatically lowers your device's media volume when it goes above a limit you set, in the apps you choose to protect. It does not change ringtone, notification or alarm volume. It works on your device and needs certain Android permissions, described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Not a Medical Device
SoundAlert is a volume-control utility, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent hearing loss or any other medical condition. Volume readings and alerts are provided for convenience only.
The App may not detect or lower the volume in every situation, for example because of Android system restrictions, battery-saving settings, device-specific behaviour or other apps. You remain responsible for your listening volume. Do not rely on the App where loud audio could put you or others at risk.
3. Who May Use the App
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
4. Free Version, Trial and Purchases
- FREE lets you protect one app, with no time limit and no ads.
- Free trial: when you first open the App, all features are unlocked for 7 days at no charge. No payment details are needed and nothing is charged when the trial ends; the App simply returns to FREE.
- PRO and LIFETIME are one-time in-app purchases. They are not subscriptions and do not renew. The price is shown in the App and on Google Play before you buy, including any taxes Google Play applies. Owners of PRO can upgrade to LIFETIME for the upgrade price shown in the App.
- "Future updates included" in LIFETIME means the updates we release for the App for as long as we offer it. It is not a promise of specific features or of support for every Android version or device.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play and linked to your Google account. To restore a purchase on a new device, sign in to Google Play with the same account.
5. Refunds
Payments and refunds are handled by Google Play under Google Play's refund policy. If you have a problem with a purchase, contact us at support@soundalert.com and we will help. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.
6. Your Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, under these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the App except where the law allows it, and you may not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
7. Other Apps
SoundAlert adjusts the volume while you use other apps. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the makers of those apps, and their names are trademarks of their respective owners.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, the SoundAlert name and logo, and all related content belong to 2in1 Inc. These Terms do not give you any rights to them other than the licence in section 6.
9. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or, for consumers in the EU and UK, for intent and gross negligence.
11. Changes and Termination
We may update the App and change or discontinue features. We may update these Terms; the current version is always on this page, and significant changes will be noted in the App's release notes. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously breach these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose laws give you mandatory protections, you keep those protections and may bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence.
